Missing Bear
This practice-as-research project explores loss and methods of finding through the search for a twinned object. Missing Bear is a solo performance that takes audiences on a live art adventure through hospitals, childhood and lostness in London.
In 2013 I began the search for a teddy bear I lost when I was 8. I put out posters between Newport and London, prayed to the Saint of All Lost Things, called to him with song and even retraced his white furry steps.
This practice-as-research project explores loss and methods of finding through the search for a twinned object. A medical narrative emerges in this journey and culminates in a live full length performance.
