In this project I investigate how data from various sources might be transposed from lines, dots and numbers to something more human. Using national birth records and data generated by my body in the form of hospital documentation, I am interested in what stories and metaphors emerge from graphs and figures within. In a time where information technologies enable greater sharing I feel that data has lost its power. Yet public discourse around incidents like the Grenfell Tower disaster show that numbers have political and emotional poignancy. I want to see how far data and this kind of information can take us creatively. What happens when the process of: human -> data, is reversed: data ---> human.
